Israel's third-largest city, the northern capital, located on the Mediterranean coast, is Haifa. It is the only metro city in Israel, but it also has a rather unusual appearance - an underground cable car that connects the Lower and Upper cities. In the upper city, there are entertainment and shopping centers, expensive houses and hotels. The main attraction of the city is Mount Carmel, on which the prophet Elijah lived. Today, the mountain is decorated with magnificent gardens and parks, with scenic landscapes overlooking the city and the surrounding area, as well as the grand Bahai Temple, decorated with Persian gardens, which is a true masterpiece of landscape art. There are many museums in Haifa: Museum of Ancient World History, Museum of Natural History, Museum of Japanese Art, Museum of Music, National Maritime Museum, Haifa Museum. The beaches of the city are known far beyond the country: almost 5 kilometers in length, they are the cleanest and probably the most beautiful in Israel. From Haifa, you can go on excursions to the Western Galilee, Nazareth, Acre, Carmelim, famous for its wine cellars.
